Crew United

Born and raised in Cologne, Germany, I grew up in a loving home with my single mother, brother and grandparents. My father re-entered my life in my 20s, reconnecting me with my aunt.

My first years as an adult were shaped by work and perseverance. I mopped office floors, hauled cables in TV broadcast studios, and repackaged products at facilities outside of Berlin. Shooting films, was a highly sought-after privilege for me.

I then studied Art History and Cultural Science BA at Technische Universität Berlin, followed by Screen-Based Media BA at Berliner Hochschule für Technik. Under the mentorship of Director of Photography Bernd Fischer and Titus Faschina, I developed my skills in visual storytelling. I also started to work commercially in the film industry and as a videographer and photographer during my studies.

For my BA, I shot the coming-of-age sibling drama SWAMP with directress Nora Lüders, which went on to compete in the middle-length feature category at the Achtung Berlin Film Festival in 2022. Following that, I collaborated with director Daniel Noël Fleischmann on the queer horror short film SINTER, which earned us the Rotraut Pape Award for Inspirational Filmmaking at the B3 Biennale in Frankfurt.

In 2024, I completed my MA in Cinematography at the prestigious Hamburg Media School, studying under renowned cinematographers Judith Kaufmann, Achim Poulheim, Matthias Bolliger and Hagen Bodanski.

My latest project, the short film THE ROOMS WE SHARE, focusing on a ukranian mother getting in touch with a german family, directed by Nadiia Khatymlianska, is currently on the international festival circuit. It has been selected for screenings worldwide, including the Molodist International Film Festival in Kyiv. Additionally, our MA film NO TIME, a science fiction social satire about capitalism and modern work ethics, also directed by Nadiia Khatymlianska, is preparing for its upcoming festival run.

My work spans both fictional and documentary filmmaking, with a particular focus on political and social issues, identity, misfits and (the future of) work and society.

I'm always looking for new collaborations, fresh ideas and meaningful connections.
